Boudoir shoot

Boudoir photography is empowering as well as a great opportunity to create a wonderful set of images that can make you look and feel beautiful.

I was recently contacted by Miss M, a lady who wanted to have a boudoir session and to create a set of images that not only makes her look and feel beautiful, but for her it was all about the empowerment.

For many years she had felt undervalued and one day she decided that enough was enough and she would take control back on her life, starting with a boudoir shoot.

We had been in conversation for many weeks discussing why she had decided to have a boudoir shoot and what she was hoping to get from it.

Every lady has their own reasons for having a boudoir shoot, whether it’s to help get over a relationship break up, to create a set of images that they can look back on in years to come and still appreciate how beautiful they are, or because they want to feel empowered.

For me it’s all about my client and making sure that they are happy and that also includes where the shoot will take place. Miss M preferred to have the shoot at her home, so that is what we did. Obviously she was feeling a little nervous, but by having the shoot at her place, meant she was a little more relaxed and didn’t have to worry about what to outfits to pack to take to the shoot.

As we went through the shoot and I showed Miss M the images, she could see that she was beautiful and that helped her to relax and enjoy the experience more than she thought. Seeing the images also helped her feeling of empowerment and to see the smile on her face makes my job so worthwhile.

Showing the images is such a key component to my boudoir shoots, so important for your client to see how she looks, but it also helps to settle her nerves, shows that she is beautiful and also shows what you trying to achieve and that can then help her with posing.
